I actually had the opportunity to live in amazing Frankfurt,Germany. The countryside of this European country is breathtaking. From the castles to the wine country it is a fasinating country. I walked in the snow, threw snowballs, made a snowman and made snow ice cream something new to me.It was a time of my life I'll never forget.

Some History

Germany is made up of 16 states. The capital of Germany is Berlin. On the Maine River Frankfrurt is one of the famous ones. It is a large city well know for being the financial center of Germany.

Scenic Germany

Heidleberg

Mountains,upland and lowland plains nature to behold. Daytrips are available up the Rhein river to Heidleberg. Castles that are hundreds of years old can be seen in Heidleberg. The largest wine barrel in the world is surrounded by beauitful gardens.

Rodental

A wonderful place to visit the Hummel figurerine Gobel Company. These figurerines are based on drawings made by Sister Maria Innocentia . Began in the 1950's American soldiers after World War 11 send the figerines home as gifts . Today they have become a very popular collectible.

The Wine Valley

Goes across the Rhine River.I got to view this from overhead riding across in a sky lift. It was so exciting, Did you know Germany produces the lightest wines in the world.?

Munich October Fest

Large beer festive with traditional food,rides and fireworks. Takes place in October every winter and considered the best festival in the world.

Christmas Market

In most of the large cities there are Christmas markets. A very good place to buy presents to take home. There is plenty of food,beer and wine. Wonderful candys and roasted nuts are sold. on the street. Handmade Christmas ornaments and toys to buy at the market..

Trier

Oldest city in Germany with amazing castle ruins. Also one of the seats of the old Roman empire.

Berlin Zoo

The Zoologicial Gardens . Largest zoo in the world in city of Berlin. 1500 species of animals and a aquarium. One of the most visited zoos in Europe.

Sports

Sking,snowboarding,sledding and skating. Alway plenty of snow in Germany. The ski resorts are awesome. Shopping,entertainment and a good place to stay all in one. Well known for their great service.
