My Father My Friend

Thoughts of my father float into my mind

I remember him as my father and my friend

Memories of him are all I can find

Material things were not so important to him

Love was there that is what I hold dear

We talked , laughed and shared our views

Wish he were here today I have so much to say

I miss him so much I do believe this he knows

From that I take strength to continue on every day!

Tribute to Father

My fathers birthday would have been November 15. I thought of him all that day and many other days, I loved him very much. This poem is a tribute to him. I could not have picked out any better father and friend.
